In the early game, gold can be hard to come by. Horadric Cube repair and recycling recipes

I'll use the Ruby as an example for the recipes below, but rest assured the same holds true for all gems, including skulls. The Horadric Cube can be used to upgrade gems. The final five recipes require flawless gems as part of the upgrade recipe.Ĭhipped gems begin dropping in Act 1 Normal, moving all the way up to perfect gems as you progress through the game. We now move on to plain gems being required to upgrade runes. We now move on to flawed gems being required to upgrade runes. This changes at Thul and higher, which requires a chipped gem in order to upgrade to the next rune. Three Eld runes become one Tir rune, and so forth. For example, three El runes become one Eld rune. I'll get this one out of the way first, as I've already written a Diablo 2: Resurrected rune and runeword guide with information about "cubing up" runes.įrom El rune to Ort rune, all you need is three runes in the cube when you press the Transmute button to create the next rune in the list. but this is kinda madness, especially for a mod that uses exiles's namesake.VPN Deals: Lifetime license for $16, monthly plans at $1 & more Horadric Cube rune recipes It's certainly been a while since I picked up D2 properly, and I've become accustomed to PoE's way of linear progression with sockets. By which you have 4+ socket items to play with. of runes some of which you won't find until typically Hell as well. It's the same problem with 2 socket runewords like lore and smoke.which should be simplistic to achieve as it's just a 2 socket requirement. The silliness of needing a monarch for every other class baffles me as well. but not finding one for another 45 levels ( even as a paladin, I had to have it gifted to me from a friend ). The start of this ladder in particular has been painful in that regard, having farmed the runes required for a spirit shield. It makes the 4 socket items.which you needed back at level 25. which amazes me where you basically go from 3 socket items to 6 socket items immediately. And then it stagnates until the start of Hell difficulty. getting the chance at a 4 socket sword ( and nothing else ) by the time you react act 4 normal. Getting a 3 socket item is pretty hassle free by the time you're into act 3 normal and above. Criticism: I'm not very fond of the socketing tables.
